Members of the Armed Forces and their families encounter stress not always experienced in civilian life – lengthy separations from family, lack of familiar support resources and ineligibility for local benefits. The American Red Cross provides vital services for all military members and their families. Whether you are active duty military, Reserve, National Guard or other community-based military, the Red Cross is here for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can count on the American Red Cross to provide emergency communications, emergency financial assistance, counseling, veterans’ assistance and aid in the field where Red Cross workers are deployed to serve with Americas’ military. The Red Cross has both emergency and non-emergency services available to military members and their families.

If your loved one is away from home because of military duty and you need to get in touch with him or her in the event of an emergency, the Red Cross is here to help. To assist us in quickly locating them, please have the following information when you contact us:

  • Rank/Rating
  • Branch of Service
  • Social Security Number
  • Military Address
  • Doctor/Hospital/Funeral Home name, location, and phone number if possible.
